10 Tough Questions about the Death Penalty

Have you ever been discussing the death penalty with friends or family and felt blind-sided by a really tough question? On June 2nd we want to help equip you to respond to those tough questions in a respectful, informed manner. We have learned most people start to reconsider the death penalty because a friend or family member told them something they did not know about it.

On June 2nd we will be holding 2 trainings, one in Lincoln and one in Omaha. This training is entitled “10 Tough Questions About the Death Penalty”. We will present the most effective ways to discuss the death penalty whether you’re talking to people over the water cooler or presenting to your book club, Bible study, or social studies class. We will have some communications experts on hand to help give tips on how to discuss capital punishment more effectively.

We hope you will mark your calendar now for this training. There will be two of the same training on June 2nd, one in Lincoln and one in Omaha. The Lincoln training will take place from 9:00-11:00am at the Unitarian Church of Lincoln, 6300 A Street, Lincoln. The Omaha traning will take place from 1:00-3:00pm at the Second Unitarian Church, 3012 South 119th Street, Omaha. We are asking participants to give a suggested $5 donation to cover the cost of materials, but it is not a requirement. We want as many people as possible to participate in these trainings.
