Nebraskans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty Foundation (NADP) seeks a sharp, dedicated intern with a passion for our cause to support our work with writing, social media, and research.
Responsibilities:
Draft articles, action alerts, and breaking news stories for publication in our print newsletter, website, and social media outlets.
Manage posts to our website and social media outlets.
Create and revise factsheets and other materials for use at NADP events.
Help manage database of NADP members and supporters for communications needs.
Participate in other communications and research tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Interns should be committed to the repeal of the death penalty; excited about the endless opportunities that communications work presents, and interested in working both independently and part of a fun, committed team.
This internship requires very strong writing, research and analytical skills; Experience in drafting news articles, blogs and in desktop publishing is a plus.
Interns should be creative, results-oriented, self-directed, reliable, flexible, and committed to the internship.
Interns are expected to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week. This internship is unpaid. Course credit may be available.
